Hey Fitbit Community,

Our team is excited to be leveling up the game on the Fitbit Ace LTE with our newest update: Season 2 - Sproutling Surprise.

Let's explore what’s new!

Based on your feedback
We’ve been working hard to improve Ace LTE based on your early feedback through the forums and in-product feedback. This new update includes:

  • Improved reliability - including a fix for a rare issue that could cause audio to mute during the call.
  • A longer view of Movement data in the parent app - now view up to 4 weeks.
  • A new “lunch break” option, to allow you to temporarily pause school mode during recess.

New games in the Fitbit Arcade
Fitbit Arcade has introduced two new games, Sproutlings and Spirit Garden, that transform everyday activities like walking to school into exciting adventures:

  • Sproutlings - care for virtual pets, collect fruit, and explore new environments.
  • Spirit Garden - relaxation and mindfulness, allowing kids to discover magical creatures and restore ancient landmarks.

Support for kids debit cards
If your family uses Greenlight or GoHenry you can now add your kids debit card to your child’s Fitbit Ace LTE so they can use it to tap and pay. These apps help kids learn about responsible spending with spending limits, transaction alerts, and other educational tools. Check the Google Wallet section of the Fitbit Ace app to find out more.

Season 2 is rolling out now
Over the coming days, your Ace LTE should automatically receive the update to Season 2.
Note: your device will only update while charging and connected to WiFi.

To check your current software version, follow the steps:

  1. On your Fitbit Ace LTE home screen, swipe right to access Daily Quests.
  2. Swipe to the bottom of your Daily Quests.
  3. The "You're Playing Season" message will indicate your current software version.

If it’s been a few days and your watch still hasn’t updated, follow the steps here to check for a manual update.

Coming soon - allowing communication between siblings
We’re also actively working on your most requested change. This feature is currently being tested by our advisor families and we hope to make it available in the next update.

Keep the feedback coming!
Your feedback is essential in guiding our product and features development. Popular feedback, as indicated by customer votes, is shared within Fitbit to help us know what to build and focus on. Please continue to share feedback within the Fitbit Community - we’re listening.
