How do I unblock my Fitbit device after using the wrong pin?

Hey Fitbit Community,

 

While a locked Fitbit can be a temporary inconvenience, it's easy to resolve. Once unlocked, you can get back to tracking the important information that helps you understand your body and reach your fitness goals.

There are few ways to unblock your Fitbit device after entering the wrong PIN multiple times:

  1. If your Fitbit screen displays a prompt to 'Unlock with Phone,' you can resolve this by following the steps below using your connected smartphone.
    1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab today.png andthen.png Devices Devices.pngandthen.png your device.
    2. Tap Device Lock Devicelock.png.
    3.  Find the option to reset your PIN code.
  2.  Sign out of your Fitbit account, restart your phone, and log back in. Reset your PIN.

  3. If you still can't unlock your device using your phone, or if you haven't paired it with a smartphone, proceed with factory reset. You can find instructions for resetting your Fitbit model on the Fitbit Help Center.

    Note: This will erase all your data and settings on the device

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

  • Once you perform a factory reset, you'll need to set up your Fitbit again like a new device.
  • Make sure to remember your PIN. Consider writing it down somewhere safe.
