Apple Watch and Fitbit Charge HR

Am I going to be able to switch back and forth and track my steps? I remember an update saying I could switch devices throughout the day and still track all my steps, will this work with the Apple Watch? Say I run in the AM with the Fitbit, but then take it off and wear the Apple Watch to work, will Fitbit Fashboard track all my steps?

@jjk454ss It is highly unlikely. The feature for switching devices is to be able to have up to one of each Fitbit model connected to your account. (There is currently no support for third party trackers, Samsung, Moto 360, Up, Misfit, Withings, etc.)

Thanks. I didn't think I could, but I thought I read you could actually use the iPhone itself to track steps using the Fitbit app. So why not Asple a Watch.

It's too bad, I don't mind the Fitbit, and I like competing with friends. You'd think opening up the app would eventually encourage more people to buy the Fitbit. As is, I'll just end up using the Apple Watch instead of both.

Perhaps if you can get a Fitbit app on your watch it could use the accelerometer similarly to how it does in your phone. But as @Michael suggested, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

A simple solution would be adding the ability to read from Healthkit. I was wearing the CHarge HR for a few months and have been awaiting my apple watch since the announcement last year. I am a bit disappoint because two of the options I thought I had available to me both do not work. I thought I could use SyncSolver but it does not count towards challenges which and then I thought I could use MobileTrack but that only pulls from the iPhones M7 chip not the Apple watch. My friends are going to be disappointed that I can no longer do stuff with them but it was fun while it lasted. My wife still has a Charge HR and I was going to hand mine down to my son. It would have been nice to have stayed in sync with them.
