Apple Watch to Fitbit app

One day in March of 2015, I was very very grateful to receive something I wanted so very badly, a fitness smart watch. The Surge became another part of me, all my friends would ask about it and I'd show it off like it had actually been bioengineered into my body. A couple days ago in this June 2016, my Surge decided it was time to go. Due to so much use (definitely not improper care, because I treated that thing like it was alive, I would not accept one scratch) one of the handles completely fell off, my surge was done. I uttered my disfortune and depression to my family, and without a days notice, they suprised me with another smart watch they thought I wanted, an Apple Watch. I was so grateful of them for thinking of me, but I wish they would've asked what I wanted, a Blaze or another Surge, primarily because I wanted to track fitness, not surf the web on my watch. I still humbly accepted the gift and now to my dissapointemed by, it cannot sync with the Fitbit app??? What?? With all of today's amazing technology, this can't be done? The Fitbit app has my every moments heart rate and calorie for the last year and I absolutely love it. I used it more than any other app on my phone. Please, some one up there at Fitbit, please make it so steps, calories, etc can be used with Apple Watch and the Fitbit app. You'd make thousands, I'm willing to bet, extremely grateful. I'd even be willing to pay for the Fitbit app if it ment I could use it with my Apple Watch.

Please consider my request.

Thank you for your time and for your technology.

God bless
-Gabe

Fitbit makes money by selling devices, and using Fitbit app is part of the deal.

not using a Fitbit, no right to use a Fitbit app.

unless Fitbit opens its architecture by allowing other devices to connect Fitbit apps, but in this case, Fitbut must receive a monthly fee. Are you OK with this idea ?

I have a similar problem. I have the Apple Watch and wear it all of the time, my sister has a Fitbit. She just had open heart surgery earlier this month and one of the best things she can do for her recovery is walk. Well, almost needless to say, it has turned competitive since we are sisters. It's a fun way to remain motivated now that I've left her and come home - she is halfway across the country from me. Since she has her Fitbit on her ALL OF THE TIME the app keeps her step count fairly accurate. I don't have my ph on me constantly, but I do have my watch. I know she is enjoying beating me regularly but I'd like to catch up, show her up, motivate her to keep it up or nudge her further.

Is there a way? Please.

Two issues in this, the most obvious being the necessary connection from Fitbit hardware to the app. Second, are You sure you actually WANT to rely on another device than the Fitbit to do the monitoring? There was a recent test of similar devices from Microsoft, Google, Apple, Fitbit and a couple more, and Fitbit came out on top as being the most accurate device of all. I have both the Apple Watch and a Fitbit One, and prefer the simplicity of the One by far.
