So, I'm new to fitbit (Charge HR), but I've been using MyFitnessPal, MapMyFitness, Google Fit, S Health, a Polar chest strap heart monitor, and a few workout apps (e.g. Sworkit) together. Each of these has it's pros and cons, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to use each one for its individual strong points, while still having them work together.
So, MFP is plainly the winner for food/water intake, so I want to keep using that. Google Fit and MapMyFitness seem to have done a pretty poor job of tracking my daily activity, which is why I got the fitbit. However, it is my understanding that, for actual workouts, a chest heart rate monitor like my Polar is far superior to the wrist one in the fitbit. So, I think I'd want to use the Polar for workouts, the fitbit for the rest of the day, MFP for food/water and as central hub, and then S Health (which doesn't integrate with any of these) for it's unique functions like O2 sat, etc. That's at least the general plan, unless somebody has a better solution.
So, here are my specific thoughts/questions:
1) I think first I turn off daily activity tracking in Google Fit, and let the fitbit do all of that tracking, right?
2) What about for actual workouts? Should I use the Polar only and just take the fitbit off during workouts?
3) Some of the workout apps (like Sworkit) sync up with MFP and MapMyFitness, so do I turn off that syncing and let the Polar handle workouts exclusively?
4) How would I integrate MapMyFitness into all of this? Does it do something/anything better than the rest of my puzzle pieces? I know it is good for tracking routes, but I don't actually do a lot of route-type workouts.
Any input would be much appreciated.

I am struggling with this myself. I use MyFitnessPal, MapMyRide, and now the Fitbit. I originally had MyFitnessPal and MapMyRide sync'ed and then both MapMyRide and MyFitnessPal sync'ed with Fitbit but that seemed result in activities being counted multiple times.
I'm wondering if it is better to 'daisy chain' apps, so sync MapMyRide with Fitbit and then Fitbit with MyFitnessPal?
How are other people sync'ing apps together?

Myfitnesspal and Fitbit fighting for central hub, and Fitbit (Charge 2 or Ionic) and Polar M600 fighting for tracker, for now. Looks like Google Fit will be excluded... That's where I am at the moment.

More than 3 years after this post, and no real resolution with regard to integration of Fitbit (in my case a Charge3) and a Polar chest HR monitor. Very frustrating, as I have also read, etc., that chest HR is much more accurate than the wrist HR.
Hey Fitbit? When are you going to address this? As well as other issues, like auto recognition of Spinning? Lot's to be resolved here.
