Blaze Calories Burned and Syncing with MFP

Hello! I got my Blaze a week ago and am absolutely in love with it!

My first few workouts for calories burned on my Blaze synced across to MFP account but now it comes across as much less? I did a leg workout on the weekend, which quoted 619 calories burned (consistent with what my heart rate monitor calculation) but when I did the sync, MFP only quoted 345 calories burned? I'm just a bit confused on the "adjustment" feature and how it is calculated. Hoping someone can shed some light on this!

Thanks so much!

@quach-e, Fitbit only sends steps overs to MFP, so if you're doing a non-step-based activity like lifting, those calories won't be picked up by MFP.

Thank you for the quick response @MakMak! I ran 4 miles yesterday and burned 355 calories as per my Blaze but only counted as 199 on MFP?

No worries, I was just curious if this was a FitBit setting I needed to adjust or a MFP setting.

Thanks!

I believe this is a relic of the earlier days when the devices did not have good auto-tracking and HR capability. My guess would be that for this to be changed, MFP would need to update their end. It's not something we as users can change, unfortunately.
