I've linked Fitbit with My Fitness Pal and although MFP seems to be syncing my steps, my calories burned are not showing up in MFP.
This had led to me wondering if I should ditch MFP and just use the Fitbit app to track movement and food intake! But when I look at the dashboard, Fitbit is not deducting workouts/exercise from my calorie total either.
Basically, I want to monitor my movement and I want calories 'earned' to be added to my calorie total each day. Is there a way to do that in Fitbit? Or figure out why it's no longer recording calories burned/earned in MFP, since I connected it to Fitbit!

Hello @Stephanie6938 and @tiffiny73.
Thanks for letting me know that you tried to disconnect them.
@tiffiny73 In that case I'd depend on the specific information on your account but it definitely seems off. Are these details coming from Fitbit or from MFP?
@Stephanie6938 In your case I'd recommend trying to get in touch with MFP directly so that they can get a closer look at what is going on. Given that these integrations are developed by the third-parties, they should be able to take a closer look at what is going on.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

For whatever reason, when I disconnected/reconnected, removed/added back apps, etc., it finally worked, but only for the future, so I don't even know why it suddenly started working. But it wasn't showing that day's previous info, just info from that point forward.

Hello @resistance.
Thanks for letting me know about that.
When apps sync with Fitbit they will regularly only sync the information from the point that they were connected and forward but not information from previous days, that is the way the connection is intended to work.
Glad to read that it is working now, however. Hopefully it will continue to do so without any hiccups.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

This doesn't work for me. I see steps in mfp from Fitbit but no calories burned. 😡😡😡 I've depended on this for years. This is the third day of this. Please fix it! July 2019

Agreed- just upgraded to the inspire HR, see steps in MFB but no calories burned. Have tried all steps suggested but still have the negative. So frustrating

Just purchased my first Fitbit...the Inspire HR. Love it. I was totally disappointed with the inability to get the steps added to my calories in Myfitnesspal (MFP). Just yesterday I had this feature using Pacer the app on my Android phone, a simple and free step counter. It integrated flawlessly and provided step count in the MFP exercise and converted to calories area.
So, I did the following and now have my Fitbit successfully sending the step count through Pacer to Myfitnesspal and all is well.
In Fitbit link to Pacer,
In Pacer, "Connect" Myfitnesspal (In settings/Apps & Devices),
In Pacer, "Connect" Fitbit (In settings/Apps & Devices),
In Pacer, Change the "Step Source" to Fitbit (In settings/Apps & Devices)
In Myfitnesspal, connect to the "Pacer Pedometer" by Pacer.
In Myfitnesspal, check on Pacer Pedometer under choose device under Settings/Steps.
*Please note you may still see Fitbit in the exercise section of your MFP Daily Diary, simply select the edit pencil up at the top and check the box next to the fitbit.
Best wishes!

me too my steps are shown but my calories aren’t there but I found the solution It had nothing to do with reconnecting or anything like that
SOLUTION:
•go to MyFitnessPals website
• log in and click “exercise” on the blue bar(for me it says motion because I’m danish but I’m pretty sure it would be called exercise)
•Then click settings right below the exercise button
• now scroll down under calorie adjustments and activate the negative adjustment thing

Try 2021!
Wouldve thought after 4 years this issue would be sorted.
starting to think paying for a Fitbit is the worst mistake I’ve made!
Brought it to help with my lifestyle and work along side MFP but

I did this but myfitnesspal isn't showing on the apps. I'm too having issues with myfitnesspal logging my fitbit steps but calorie adjustment remains 0, even after clicking it. . I've synced constantly but still the same.
