I'm using Endomondo and linked Fitbit from my Endomondo account. It's correctly showing the number of steps from Fitbit on the Endomondo website, but it seems the calories are much too high. For example, on one day I walked 10,428 steps (4.71 miles) and it says I burned 1393 kcal. In contrast, I ran 2.7 miles on the treadmill and logged this in Endomondo, and it only amounted to 300 kcal. As a result, my totals on the Endomondo website are completely dominated by the Fitbit cals.
Is there some way to correct this? Does anyone know how it comes up with such high cal numbers (they do not seem to match anything I can find on the Fitbit website)?

@NicoS I'm sorry that your post went without a response for so long. Fitbit will track the distance by multiplying your walking steps and walking stride length. Similarly, your running steps are multiplied by your running stride length. By default, stride length is determined using your height and gender.
When you're in the treadmill, I would recommend logging the activity because though your body is in motion while on exercise machines like the elliptical, this activity doesn't require steps.
