In the past I had my fitbit connected to my profile on myfitnesspal which worked fine. However I've recently made a new account on myfitnesspal due to changing my name and wanting to start fresh.
Unfortunately every time I try to disconnect my fitbit from the old account it says it's disconnected, but when I try to connect to the new account it gives me a message saying that there is already an account connected to the fitbit. I've tried multiple times and it just won't disconnect from the old account, can anyone help?

Hello @taako always it's nice to see new faces in the Fitbit Community. Let me step and give you some suggestions before you contact MFP Support as @SunsetRunner kindly suggested.
There was another user experiencing something similar so take a look at this post. It might provide the help you need to resolve this error you are having at the moment to connect your new account.
