In order to know when I need to replace my shoes, I should be able to see how many miles I have run. I went to try to see how many miles I have logged in the past year, and it appears there is no way to easily see this. Even if you track to export your activity history to Excel, you can only export the past 30 days.
We should be able to set an alarm that says, "notify me when I have logged activity of x miles running starting from y date."

You could use Strava for that purpose. I track my gear usage there. It will work instantly while working for Fitbit for implementing such a feature is a gamble (and rather lost bet).
