Connect Fitbit to Health Connect or directly to MyFitnessPal?

Hello,

I'm currently using Fitbit connected to MyFitnessPal directly, and it works just fine: I get the Fitbit steps transferred to MyFitnessPal, and the calories get adjusted, and I can manage my food intake pretty well like this.

However, I'm getting sort of prompted by the app to use Health Connect as "see it all in one", so I see I could connect both Fitbit and MyFitnessPal to Health Connect.

My question is: is it more practical to keep having it as I have it now, or should I install Health Connect and connect both Fitbit and MyFitnessPal to it? What are the advantadges of one way or the other?

Currently trying to figure this out for myself.  Some mild google'ing is showing that most everything except meals (go figure) will sync across mfp > health connnect > fitbit
still welcoming any info on this subject.
