Connecting myfitnesspal to fitbit

Hi,

My myfitnesspal account will not sync to my fitbit account saying there is already a myfitnesspal account associated with my fitbit. However, I have no idea what account this is and I have gone into my apps, unsynced them, waited a period of time and they still will not connect for the same reason. Any advice?
