Couldn’t sync to MyFitnessPal

After 1 day of successful synching, Fitbit refused to synchronize to MyFitnessPal. I disconnect and reconnected. I deleted and reinstalled first one then the other app… still nothing. Now it’s the next day and I read that there is no way to import prior day data. Is this still unchanged from the help article I read in 2017? You really can’t pull data less than an hour ago 5 years later? There’s not even a manual workaround to fill data gaps?
