Data Exchanged with MyFitnessPal

I've looked around both the help pages and the community forums, but I haven't found the information I'm seeking.  Please point me to the right article or discussion if this question has already been answered.

What data is exchanged with MFP and what site has primary responsibilty?

I've gathered that food is sync'd from MFP (primary) to Fitbit.  I've seen someone say to log water in Fitbit but I don't know if that makes fitbit primary for water, and the data I log here will be sync'd to MFP.  I understand that total calories goes from Fitbit to MFP to be compared with MFP total; an adjustment is made to MFP if Fitbit is higher (or MFP negative adjustments are enabled).

What I'm looking for is a definitive line-by-line data map between the two site's API's.

It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community @424a57!

In this situation, There is not an actually primary site but this is instead an integration. MyFitnessPal will pull your Fitbit calories burned directly into MyFitnessPal and also send to Fitbit your nutritional meal summaries, including macronutrients, as well as weight and exercise data as you can see in the app integration details.

Hope this helps and let me know if you need more help! 🙂
