Deleting duplicate activity deletes both activities

The phenomenon of Strava data being duplicated is well known. The "solution" is to just delete one of the duplicates. But sometimes when I delete one of the duplicates, it deletes both. It's happened a couple of times now.

I know which activity has GPS data causes a difference in syncing behaviour. In the most recent instance, the Strava data had GPS and the Fitbit data didn't but I wanted to delete the Strava data (because it was a hike I'd been tagged in rather than recorded myself). When I did, the Fitbit activities disappeared too.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Hi there @insysion, it's good to see you back in the Community.

Thank you for sharing this experience. I'd recommend you check these articles, How do I add, edit or delete Fitbit data and activities? and How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?.

Enjoy your day.

Hope this helps.
