Difficulty synching steps with myfitnesspal

I'd there anyway to manually add the steps to myfitnesspal because it's not synching and sometimes the fitbit app doesn't have the same amount of steps on my fitbit. Do I have a defective product?

Thank you for stopping by in the Community @Nikki718! I'll be happy to help you with this. You can manually log your activities in your MFP account, however it will appear as an activity and will not show your steps. To improve the communication between your Fitbit and MFP accounts, you can unlink and them re link them. Rest assured that you'll keep your information.
