Do I really need MFP sync?

Hello everyone,

I have just discovered about syncing MFP with FitBit. The thing is, I have all my food logged into my fitbit dashboard, so if I want to start using MFP, it seems like I have to add everything back into MFP.

So my question is, will I miss out a lot if I only use fitbit dashboard?

Thank you

I only use MFP for food tracking. If you are happy with the food database on Fitbit, I would just drop MFP.

I did MFP for a month.  I like Fitbit just as well --even better.    Once you get most of the foods you eat in your favorites list you don't really have to make all that many new food entries anyway.    I like having everything on one site.     I do like reading the Success stories on MFP--they are great.

Alot of people prefer MFP-- for one thing it has a  big data base of food entries.

If you already have a favorites list in Fitbit don't see the benefit in switching.    If I don't find something in Fitbit I  don't mind adding it as I am careful to input the info correctly.

Thank you very much for the reply.

Well from what I've seen from the information in the MFP and Fitbit database, most of my food are either:

a) not in neither database

b) the information is not the same.

Maybe because I am from Malaysia.

I could readd them into MFP but I have already added most of my food into fitbit. It will give me headache to repeat the same process again.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. 🙂

Ok, now I understand why some people would prefer using MFP.

Well, since I have already made new food entries for most of the things I consumed, I don't think I will need it. I also like to have everything in one website.
