I have tried EVERYTHING to try and sync my Fitbit dashboard to Facebook in order to see my Facebook friends, I've scoured evey blog entry and post and I cannot find out a solution. I have tried multiple times revoking access to Facebook, I've deleted the Fitbit app from Facebook I've logged out of both, I've logged back in and tried starting the entire process over (multiple times). I signed up for IFTTT. I cannot seem to integrate Facebook with Fitbit to see my Facebook friends, this was the whole point of deciding get a Fitbit instead of the Microsoft Band, Garmin or other device. In fact, Fitbit touts that this as a major selling point. Ugh!
I am using a Fitbit Surge, I have an iMac, using Safari as a browser and my phone is a Windows phone using Fitbit mobile app.
Help!

Welcome to the Fitbit Family @swrandall70! I'll be glad to provide some information on this
We've had some reports regarding the Facebook link not showing on the Sharing tab and our development team is aware of this issue. They'll be investigating this further and see what can be done to get this fixed.
In the meantime you can go to https://www.fitbit.com/friends and click on the button to connect to Facebook. Clicking this button will offer the same options as the "Sharing" tab
Let me know if you have any questions, happy stepping!

I tried this and it still does not give me the option to search my facebook friends to add to my dashboard.

This feature is not like three contacts whee you can tell the app to search. It connects the Fitbit and Facebook accounts, then monitors to see if any friends have also connected the accounts, then notify you if a connection is detected.
