FitBit Battery Life dying after syncing with MyFitnessPal

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I had a FitBit for Christmas and when I first charged it the battery lasted for about 10 days. On Sunday I noticed I could link MyFitnessPal to my fitbit account but since I have done this the battery hasn't lasted 24 hours. I have now disconnected MyFitnessPal app and disabled bluetooth but the battery just doesn't seem to keep its charge - any ideas would be really helpful. Thanks

@BendyWendy A warm welcome to the Community! The fact that you linked Fitbit with MyFitnessPal doesn't have anything to do with the tracker's battery because those apps works directly using the internet. I would like you to check if you tracker is taking a fully charge by doing this procedure

Thank you for your response.  I have tried all the steps detailed in your link and after only 1 week of owning the FitBit, surely I shouldn’t be facing these problems.

All the functions are working correctly, ie. It records steps, alarm wakes me up, it syncs OK and it lights up when charging, it is just a case of the battery not keeping its charge.  I am lucky if I get 12 hours out of it.

I am glad that MyFitnessPal does not eat up the battery charge but until the problem has been solved I am not going to bother connecting it again.  What is the next step - a new battery replacement or FitBit perhaps!
