FitBit Charge HR calories burned for exercise vs MFP

So I've started using MFP just to see how it compares to the Fitbit app.

I've been careful to make sure both profiles are the same in regards to height and weight.

One thing I noticed is that the Fitbit app shows way more calories burned than the same exercise in MFP.

For example, today I walked at a moderate pace of 3mph on the treadmill for 30 minutes. The Fitbit app shows 250 calories burned(91 bpm heart rate avg) while MFP shows only 140! That's over 100 calories difference!

I can't explain this discrepancy at all. It just seems ridiculous that the difference would be so much.

Any ideas on what would cause this gap?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SergeyGonchar. It's great to have you here. I would recommend checking out @MakMak response about having a calorie discrepancy between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal. You can see in the chart below what information is synchronized between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal:

I moved this thread to the Third-Party Integrations board because it's more related to the topic. Thanks for stopping by, see you around. Smiley Very Happy
