Welcome to the Fitbit Community @tortugita718. It's great to have you here. The gear is found in the online Dashboard only. It is not located in the Fitbit app.
You can visit the online Dashboard and go here to revoke access between your Fitbit and MyFitnessPal accounts. Then, please link them once again by following these instructions. Hope this helps.

Basically, My Fitness Pal just takes the information on your Fitbit dashboard once linked. There are other third party apps https://www.fitbit.com/partnership

@tortugita718 If you don't have the option to revoke access between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal this means that your accounts are not linked. It should look like the following screen shot:
Please log into your MyFitnessPal account and select APPS > App Gallery > scroll down until you see Fitbit Tracker, select that option and link both accounts.
