Did you mean:

FitStar calorie count makes NO SENSE compared to Charge HR calorie counts.

Did the 7-minute fitstar workout which supposedly burns 130 calories for a 7 min workout, or 18.4 calories per minute. My average heart rate was 111.

The highest calorie burn rate I have otherwise ever reached on my Charge HR is about 10 cal/min, achieved while running with an average HR of 150-160.

Runner's World calculator estimates a 1.2 mile run as burning 136 calories for a 150 lb person (i.e, me). This is actually pretty close to what the Fitbit charge HR gives me for my runs and seems reasonable.

The 7-min fitstar workout was fine, but there is NO WAY it has a calorie burn rate almost double that of running. How on Earth were FitStar's numbers calculated?

I just bought a month's subscription to FitStar but I'm thinking of stopping it because I'm feeling a little manipulated.

@DrJenX welcome aboard! It's nice to see you around. Smiley Happy  Heart I see where you're coming from and I grant you these calculations might seem a little confusing at times. I've found a really interesting post by @MarlenS explaining how to track calories with Fitstar. Check it out and let me know if you have any other question, I'll be around!
