Fitbit App Food log incorrectly syncing with MyFitnessPal

I pre log my food in MyFitnessPal and it’ll show up in the Myfitbit food log correctly at the beginning of the day. However when I change anything, it starts to incorrectly sync my food info only in the Fitbit food log. Like lunch today was 327 calories in MFP, but in the Fitbit app it says 612. It just doesn’t update any changes throughout the day in the Fitbit app. This never used to happen. It started about a week ago.  I tried to edit the food log in the Fitbit app but it just keeps spinning. I uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, reconnected both several times to each other, turned on and off my blue tooth, and restarted my phone several times. Nothing is working to correct this issue. Both apps are up to date. I’m ready to throw in the towel on my Charge 3 and just get an Apple Watch.

This is also affecting me. I logged food as stated in your post but a majority of June has integration issues with MFP to Fitbit. I went to MFP and my app and website are completely synced (no differences) the issue appears to be with data pulled from MFP to Fitbit, if I make any changes on MFP, fitbit does not recognize this and does not change. This is also one of the few reasons why I do not use fitbit premium. Why pay for a "premium" service if the free features/integrations do not even work how they should, are stated to work?

I do still think the issue is that the MFP app doesn’t ( always ) sync correctly with their own website.
Once the app and the site matches ( the site always match with Fitbit app, for me ).

I still have issues when changing an items, it can appear twice on their website and thus in the Fitbit app.

Sometimes it just takes longer for the app to sync with their website, I noticed.

I did contact MPF on this and they are aware of the issue. They asked me a bunch of questions. When I also replied that my Iphone doesn’t have the lasted update of their app ( I didn’t even know there was any available but I don’t have the lasted IOS so I can not be updated ) they said that they would not look further into it because of my IOS not being up to date.

So if anyone with issues that have the lasted update Android or Iphone, please contact MFP and mention this issue. Hopefully they will do something about it.

I’ve been going back and forth with MFP and they’re not being helpful. It’s :hundred_points: an issue on their end. I did everything they asked me to do (app is updated, etc) and it was just question after question. The issue is that the MFP app and website aren’t communicating properly so I have to manually go to the MFP website and delete the duplicate entries and then it correctly updates to the Fitbit app. They are aware of it, but have done absolutely nothing to fix it. It’s so frustrating. I  gave up communicating with them because all they did was ask the same question a million different ways (I provided screenshots of exactly what was happening, etc). I don’t foresee a solution anytime soon and am cancelling my premium subscription (which I’ve had for years).

It is so ridiculous. That’s the solution i’m using as well, manual changes on the website. MFP seems to just be incompetent at this point updating the app. I feel Fitbit should also communicate with them to resolve this as it is clearly an issue affecting synced users!! I’m glad you’re canceling your subscription!

And now MFP took away the option to delete the duplicate entries on the website. So now I just had to put 0 servings of all the foods I deleted in the MFP app that the MFP website still counted. What a joke!!!

I have all the latest versions of the app, ios, browser. I updated everything on MFP (deleted duplicates etc) 24 hours ago on MFP but now Fitbit is not syncing the updated information from MFP. It's like once fitbit has an entry, it doesn't modify/change the information either.

Apple watch does not have a food logging facility.  That's why I reloaded the Fitbit app again and connected it.  But you are correct, there is no date changing function.  It really stinks.

I have the same exact problem. I like to organize my meals in advance on MyFitnessPal but sometimes I change my mind later in the day so I have to remove a meal and replace it by another, for example removing 600 calories and replacing it by another 600 calories meal. The problem is that "removing" food isn't synced in Fitbit and when I check my calorie intake, it's now 1200 calories (600 + 600) instead of 600. That means MyFitnessPal doesn't send the information that I removed a meal and replaced it by another and only seems to tell Fitbit what I added not what I removed also...

I have this exact issue just started in the last week. MFP has 1500 cals logged but Fitbit has 1800+ cals logged and I cannot figure out how to make it correct.
