Fitbit Charge HR not synching workout to Vitality

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Fitbit Charge HR for a few weeks now and I noticed that even though I am logging my workouts they are not being uploaded to Vitality.  Only my steps are being recongnized by the program.  Is there any way to fix this?  I use My Fitness Pal as well but it seems complicated to track my workout with the Fitbit then log it to My Fitness Pal and delete it from the Fitbit so that it is not counted twice.  Does anyone have any recommendations on how to streamline this process?

Hi there @shievak83. It's great to see you in the Community! 🙂

I think that the information that is transfered to Vitality will be only for your real activity. This means that if you're manually entering your workouts, they will not transfer to Vitality but only if you track them directly from your Charge HR. For that, you can take a look at this article where you will be able to see all the detailed insstructions on how logging your activity automatically from your tracker works.

Let me know if this works!

I have been logging my workouts using exercise mode which I assumed would
transmit my workouts to Vitality but it has only been transmitting my step
count for each day. The only time vitality seems to recognize workouts is
when I log them with My Fitness Pal which transmits them to Map My Workout
that then sends them to Vitality. Map My Workout also does not pick up on
the workouts logged in exercise mode with my fitbit even though all my
accounts are linked to one another.

I am not able to see my Fitbit steps on my Vitality account. I see them fine on the web site and on the Charge device.

I just got my Blaze and love it.  Had been using a Polar chest heart rate monitor in conjunction with Map My Fitness app to get my workouts and heart rate transmitted to Vitality.  I just did an ellipical workout and only got credit for the points, not the 300+ calorie workout.

I contacted Vitality and they stated that Fitbit DOES NOT TRANSMIT WORKOUT DETAILS, ONLY STEPS.  This is very disappointing as I am using Fitbit to track my weightloss goals.  I now need to use BOTH Fitbit and MapMyFitness (track fitness & get vitality points).  Seems Fitbit should transmit workout details as I HAVE AUTHORIZED THE ACCOUNTS TO BE LINKED.  There are no privacy issues, I've opted in.  This needs to be fixed.  Why are you forcing me to use two products when one will work.

I agree with you there. I have recently taken up cycling to work so I do less steps in a day. One could argue though that cycling 20km a day certainly keeps me fitter than walking to and from a tube station. I used to have a simple Fitbit and upgraded to the ALTA HR to be able to autotrack my workout and heart rate. But alas, this is not recognised.

Vitality South Africa have only just figured out a deal with Fitbit to enable the transfer of heart rate workout values to points, so there should be hoping that the UK would follow suit. Does anyone know whether Vitality UK are looking into this? It really seems a bit backward that Africa is ahead of you guys here.
