Fitbit activities not transferring over to Strava

Hi,

So i have pulled out my old Charge HR and started running again. I want to be able to just press the button on my fitbit and have it record the data for the activity and then sync over to strava. Is this possible? I have added my fitbit as an exteral device following the steps on both the fitbit and Strava apps, but no activity has been logged on strava. I have also tried to start both at the same time as ive started my run, but still nothing logged on strava only fitbit. However my Strava did mess up half way through that run some how. So it only logged about 5 mins.but im under the impression you can sync over your activity over from fitbit to strava with a press of the fitbit button so would have expected it to record something anyway. If i have to use strava to log my runs, what is the point of having the fitbit? im under the impression the Charge HR does not have GPS so can that have some to do with it?

And a follow up question ... does the new fitbit work more in harmony with strava....ie do what im looking for by record distance, time etc over to strava?

Many thanks.

Hi there @Marty8095. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

Thanks for providing all those details. I'll be happy to help you answer this.

When you connect your Fitbit and Strava accounts, what it will do is that when you connect Fitbit and Strava, your Fitbit activities will automatically show up on Strava. Additionally, runs and rides tracked via Strava will automatically contribute to your Fitbit all day stats like calories and active minutes.

Now, you need to sync your tracker to your dashboard in order for that information to get to your Fitbit account and from there, they will transfer over to Strava.

If this is not working, you can disconnect both accounts. For this, go to https://www.fitbit.com/settings/applications and when you see the Strava integration, you should see a button that says Revoke. Click on it and then, link the two accounts again.

After that, hopefully, all your Fitbit activities should transfer over to Strava.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help!

PS. I'm moving your post to the Third Party Integrations board for categorization purposes.
