I'm really getting to that point where im losing hope in manufacturers who lock down their hardware to garbage apps (I'm talking about you Samsung).

I bike a lot, road and mountain biking. I like the MapMyRide app because it tracks my rides via GPS and puts it on google maps for easy review afterwards. I have gone through multiple phone mounts on my bike because the MTB rides are rough so I would like to leave my phone in the car. I purcahsed the Samsung Fit2 because it traked two importaint components. My GPS position and my heart rate. It also tracks my time but that's not importaint to me since im not competing. I didn't do my research so I didn't know that the watch only works with Samsungs apps which are almost completely useless.

I am going to sell the watch and get something new. I have been looking at the Blaze or Surge. What I need to know for sure is whether the Fitbit watch will sync with MapMyRide for heart rate and GPS tracking? Also, is there an app from Fitbit that will do something similar? I really need to have the GPS tracking being overlayed on google maps since this is how I figure out my routes.

Hello, hello @M3Roc! It's lovely to have you in the Community! Hey, have you checked the FItbit compatible apps? Also, I believe the Surge or the Blaze would be awesome options; and you can find your fit by clicking here. I'd like to let you know that  the Surge comes with GPS.

Check this out and let me know your thoughts about it! Cat Tongue
