Fitbit app telling me theres already a my fitness pal account synced

Trying to re-pair my myfitnesspal account with fitbit app to use the fitbit as a step counter in MFP. I open MFP and try to add FB so that I can track steps using FB in MFP. I am brought to the FB app, log in, and then fitbit tells me I already have a differernt account synced with MFP. I open FB account in my browser and look at what apps I have syned. I revoked access to MFP and try the process over again - but I get the same issue/alert. I cant successfully as FB to MFP for step counting.

Is there a better way than 'revoking access' MFP access to FB?

Welcome aboard to our Community @BradenAlexander. Its nice to see new faces around. The way you are doing to revoke the access is the best way to do it. I would recommend to do the following, as it happened to me a while ago and this is what I do:

1. Sign into your Fitbit dashboard.
2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. On the left side of your screen click "Applications."
4. Under MyFitnessPal, click "Revoke Access."

After you have done this go to your MyFitnessPal account in your app section. If everything is working fine you should not be able to see this screen as it shows the screenshot appear, but lets assume you'll see this. At the right of the bottom of the screen there is the Fitbit app.

Click on this app and you will be take to the next screen where you will see the option to disconnect the app. As I mentioned before, if everything is working fine and you revoke the access from Fitbit this app should not appear on your MFP account, but if it is, this is the reason why is not allowing you to re-link your accounts.

Once you have done this try again and let me know how it goes.

I tried to troubleshoot this method and I am continuing to get the same result. I can disconnect the MFP app on Fitbit but I am never connected to start with on MFP. MFP continues to say that I am already connected and there are no devices that are linked. Please help!

Thanks in advance! KK

Hi there @kmld4137 I'm sorry since I been away from this board for a time , but I wonder how it goes? Is the issue still persisting when you try to connect MFP?

I got this issue a while ago. In some occasion when you revoke the access from your Fitbit account is not recognized on MFP and is require to do the process I posted before of disconnecting your Fitbit account directly from MFP.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around for any additional help you may need.
