Fitbit not showing calories eaten from MFP

Ih ave been using MFP for a long time and just got the Fitbit Charge this week. I linked both apps but they aren't syncing correctly.

The Fitbit app is not picking up all of the calories that I have eaten and entered into MFP. I put the whole day in MFP the night before for my planned meals and then add snacks etc. as I go. But this morning the Fitbit app was just showing the calories from my dinner tonight and not my breakfast or lunch which were also on MFP.

Then in MFP the Fitbit Calories Adjustment doesn't show the same number of steps that I have actually done on my Charge. The Charge was showing 1871 steps and MFP was showing something like 2,000 or something. Why would that be wrong.

I have tried disconnecting them and connecting them again but this still isn't working. Help!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @jennielouises, It's nice to have a new member around Woman Very Happy! After reading your post, I've found the Calories discrepancy between my Fitbit and MyFitnessPal thread which I'd like you to take a look at. I'm pretty sure this will be more clear after checking the thread my friend.

Have a nice start of the week!

Hi

I did exactly what was written on that thread but I am still having the
problem as you will see from the photo attached. I have a goal of 1,700
calories and not only did I eat under that but I had more calories going
out. Yet it says I was 99 cals over.

I know when you pick a plan you can chose what calorie deficit you want but
I have just put in the goal that I want to eat. Do I need to put in a
higher amount to take off the calorie deficit?

Thanks

Jen
