Fitbit vs Mapmywalk

I walk at a fast pace, 5.5mph, on a treadmill for 33 minutes and cover 3.2 miles. Entered manually Mapmywalk records this as a burn of 478 calories yet when I record it on my Fitbit it's only 259 calories?? (I have to override the Mapmywalk record and enter it manually via Fitbit desktop so i get the steps as the treadmill isn't accurate for recording steps with a Fitbit zip) 200 calories difference is pretty important when you're on a calories counting diet. Online calculations are showing more than Fitbit too? Anyone got any answers as to why this is and which is more accurate?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Millymummy. It's great to have you here. If you haven't done it already, I would recommend to re-link the two accounts by doing the following:

1. Remove the access between your Fitbit and MapMyWalk accounts here
2. You can then re-link the two accounts here.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks for stopping by, see you around. Smiley Very Happy
