Hi
sorry if this question has been answered somewhere else but I have looked and can't find a properly explanation to my query.
i have linked my Fitbit ap to the my fitness pal ap and have noticed that the calories burnt on each are coming up as very different for activities.
for example: today I went on to seperate walks and fit bit says that these total 71 active minutes and burnt 505 cals in total (I combined the two activity summaries) however, when I go to my fitness pal ap it says that I did 8,172 steps and only burnt 139 cals!
which is correct? Fitbit has obviously used my heart rate to determine my cals burnt so I a confused how they are so different!
please explain 😧

Hello @Daisy118213 im not sure if this post will help.
As for the calories have you checked with any online calorie calculator?
You may have noticed i moved your tracker unrelated post into the related third party forum. This should give a better chance of getting a response.

@Daisy118213 Are you referring to MyFitnessPal's Calorie Adjustment? There's some good information on their site. You also might want to consider enabling Negative Calorie Adjustment on MyFitnessPal.
As far as Fitbit calories, you can check out how Fitbit calories are estimated. If your tracker has HR, calorie burn should be more accurate since it takes that into account.
