Fitstar & My Fitness Pal

Hey everyone, I apologize if this has already been asked and answered but I am having a problem with my fitness pal registering my Fitstar sessions as "body weight training" and automatically adding in that as a duplicate exercise to my exercise on Fitbit.

For example I will do a back & core session from Fitstar which instantly syncs to my Fitbit (awesome!) showing the duration in minutes and calories burned. At some point in the day I will check my exercise log and see the same duration and calorie count in my exercise log as "Bodyweight training" via My Fittness Pal.

I use My Fitness Pal to log food so I want to keep it synced to my Fitbit but would like to prevent a duplication of exercise log for Fitstar sessions. Has anyone else had this issue and if so please advise how I can avoid this? As of now I have just been deleting the duplicate exercise log and hoping my calories burned will update.

Thanks for being part of our Community @JessicaFL! At this moment there is not an option that allows you to edit the content that an app can sync. However, I think this can be a nice idea. The best place to make your voice heard is the Feature Request Board. There, you can create your own idea or vote for a similar idea. The ideas with more votes are taken in to consideration.

Thanks for your votes! 😉

@JessicaFL Interesting situation you have there.

There's a couple things you can do to stop the duplicate activity:

1. Unlink FitStar & Fitbit and just have MFP sync FitStar workouts to Fitbit

(FitStar => MFP | MFP => Fitbit)

or

2. Unlink FitStar and MFP and have MFP & FitStar sync separately to Fitbit

(FitStar => Fitbit | MFP => Fitbit)

There's pros and cons to each option I suppose, but it's hard to avoid when connecting multiple apps together. Robot tongue
