Flex not accurately syncing steps/miles to sparkpeople

I have days where my flex will not accurately sync my steps or miles walked. There are three days this month so spear that aren't synced accurately. I walked 15,000-20,000 steps those days but I'm only getting 9500-17000 steps counted...yesterday I walked 20,500 steps and 8.48mile but it's only synicimg for 17,244 steps & 7.17 mile. 've contacted Fitbit and chatted with them, we revoked Spark and re set it up, I've disconnected and reconnected Fitbit on Spark numerous times, tried deleting the FB app and reinstalling it, still can't figure it out...FB support couldn't help me either..and when I go to try and re sync from the previous day to hopefully get accurate results in Spark, it still doesn't work..& .I have to keep refreshing Spark page to get accurate readings when it does sync.   any suggestions?

Hello @torriesjourney, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I saw your post and it's been a while since you share your concern. I'm wondering how it goes so far?

 

I saw you already tried to revoke the access and reconnect the integration with no success. In this case Fitbit and SparkPeople should sync instantaneously, so if this is not happening I'm wondering how are you recording your steps, this amounts you mentioned are coming only from your tracker or are you using any manual entry for certain exercises?

 

Also approach to Sparkpeople support for additional help and learn more if there is an issue from their side. So far I haven't seen other reports of a similar case with this integration.

My steps are being counted via Fitbit tracker only

For the month of September, FB has my steps at 316.828 but sparkpeople has only counted 254,700 😞 this is despite my repeated attempts to sync thru out the day...the interesting thing is I synced my tracker when I got home on 9/18/17 and it synced perfectly!!! The same goes for last night! I find that when I sync it thru out the day, it doesn't count as accurately as it does if I just sync my tracker in the evening before I go to bed...maybe that's my issue since it's been working fine doing it that way....is there a way to sync data from the day before? I only got part of my steps and miles added to Spark from Tuesday this week can I resync it so it adds the correct amount?

Hello @torriesjourney, good to see you again and thank you for keep me posted. My apologies since I've been absent lately. I was reading your last post and certainly is an odd behavior that only in the evening is syncing correctly. 

 

To answer your last question: No, it's not possible to sync previous steps from your Fitbit to your Sparkpeaople account in case some information has not pass through.

 

If the issue keep persisting I strongly recommend to get in touch with Sparkpeople. Despite the app is compatible with Fitbit we cannot manage the data is receiving Sparkpeople from Fitbit. So for technical questions, try email them at:support@sparkpeople.com.
