Getting the Fitbit distance to agree with Myfitness pal

I log my 45 minute 4 mph flat treadmill walk on Myfitness pal then sync online with my Fitbit data. Fitbit takes it, reports the same calorie count (312) but gives no reading on miles walked. On the dashboard a lower mileage for all activity over the entire day is reported (2.1 miles in today's case) than just the treadmill exercise.  Any thoughts on why Fitbit doesn't accept the math from the treadmill and from Myfitness pal?

I just tested that myself. It appears that MFP doesn't not send that info over for some reason. You will note from the screenshot that Endomondo does send that info over. I only use MFP for logging food as they have a much larger data base. I would recommend that you log your exercise directly on the Fitbit site.
