Help! FitBit One - MyFitnessPal - Calories In/Calories Out - Over/Under

This is my first post.  I've looked, but I can't seem to find the answer to my problem.

First, I have a FitBit One.  I use the MyFitnessPal app and the FitBit app (they are linked).  MFP calorie deficit goal is 800 calories.  My FitBIt deficit goal is 1,000 calories.  I have an Android phone.

At the end of the day today, my dashboard looked like this:

FitBit Dashboard 1

I don't understand the "246 calories over", in relation to the "You are under budget" graphic.

Then, just for fun, I added a 295 calorie bowl of ceral in MFP.  Once it synced with FitBit, my dashboard looked like this:

Now, adding 295 calories of food, FitBit says I'm "567 over" and "You are over budget".

The "budget" and the graphic spelling out how many calories I am over don't seem to be in sync.

Can someone explain these graphics to me?  Should I just ignore the "You are over/under" part of the graphic?  And simply pay attention to the actual number below of "567 over" and "246 over"?

Thank you for being part of the Community @yooper2121! If you're still having this issue with your calories, I recommend checking if you have enabled the calories adjustment in your MFP account.

Keep me posted and thank you!
