When I bought my Peloton bike a few months back, I was thrilled that it had FitBit integration built in. Over the past couple of days using it, I've noticed that after a work out, my FitBit has been converting my cycling output into steps on the dashboard, and subsequently my device itself. Could someone explain to me how this all works? Also...am I getting data if I'm wearing the FitBit while I ride? Meaning...does the device count random movement on the bike as steps, and then add that on top of whatever the Peloton cycle feeds the FitBit dashboard at the end of a ride? Any information would be awesome. I have the FitBit Alta HR, for the record.

Hello @ThreeSnowshoes, welcome to the Fitbit Community. Every workout that is posted to Fitbit with Peloton will be logged as an exercise and will include the length of your workout, distance and calories burned, giving you a full scope of how hard you pushed. The integration does not convert any data to steps.
If you have an Alta HR, the steps you are seeing might be recorded by your tracker if the exercise you are doing is step based. Also it's possible the movement of your body and certain patterns while doing your cycling, will give you steps on your exercise but this information is from your tracker and not from Peloton.

See you around and hope this helps.
