How do I remove MyFitnessPal from my Fitbit account?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I tried to link my MFP to Fitbit, it keeps coming up with the message that 'another MyFitnessPal account has been linked to this account'.  Does anyone know how I can disconnect this or even find out what account is linked to my fitbit?  Many thanks, Katherine

Hello @crowesnest16 either go into the Fitbit account that you linked to MFP and revoke the access, or go into your MFP account and disconnect Fitbit.

Ive also moved your none Charge 2 question to the third party app board.

Hey there @crowesnest16, it's nice to see you around! Smiley Wink I'd do what @Rich_Laue suggested. Have you tried that?

Re-link the two accounts by doing the following:

1. Sign into your Fitbit dashboard.
2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. On the left side of your screen click "Applications."
4. Under MyFitnessPal, click "Revoke Access."
5. You can then re-link the two accounts by going to http://www.fitbit.com/apps/myfitnesspal.

After relinking, you can verify that your accounts are syncing by using one of the following data points:

1. On Fitbit you can check for your meal summary and logged activities from MFP.
2. On MyFitnessPal, go to "My Home," then "Check-In." You should see your weight, Fitbit Steps, and Fitbit Sleep Minutes.

Thanks everyone for your help. Still having problems. I can revoke it and then when I try and link it the same message pops up again. Any ideas? Many thanks. Katherine.

Did you wait long enough for MFP to get the message that they have been revoked? Can take up to 15 minutes.

Here is a link on how to revoke.

Hi there @crowesnest16, I'm wondering how it goes and if you were able reconnect your Fitbit and MyFitnessPAL accounts? My apologies for the late response and I appreciate your input @Rich_Laue.

@crowesnest16 around the time you posted here, we received word that MyFitnessPal had an outage and many users were experiencing syncing issues or in other instances, issues to connect MFP with Fitbit.

So, I would like to give follow up with you and see how is working for you? Note this issue was already resolved. You can see our dedicated thread to find more details: MyFitnessPal syncing outage - April 29th.

Keep me posed how it goes. I'll be around.
