I cant connect my fitbit one device to my fitness pal

Hi, I just purchased a Fitbit on. I also have a "My fitness Pal" app on Iphone 5s which allows for syncing with devices. I have tried doing this on the phone and also on the website but it doesnt seem to be working. Eventhough fitbit appears as one of the devices that can be connected and i am prompted during the process to all fitness pal to connect to my fitbit.

 

Please can you help?

I've heard from several people that following a software update their fitbit won't sync with MFP or, in my case, won't sync with the dongle to the fitbit dashboard.
