Incorrect number of calories via MyFitmesPal

Starting yesterday the number of calories being imported from MyFitnessPal is way off. 2,600 is being imported as over 4,000. This combined with the latest glitch in the Aria is really messing with my head.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one. I thought maybe I'd done something to screw it up. I assume fitbit support is all over this.

I just got a fitbit zip 2 weeks ago and all was going well.  However, these last 4 days, the food logged in myfitness pal is correct by when it syncs to fitbit it quadruples my calories by number that are not in myfitness pal.  For example, the breakfast is 200 calories in MFP but in fitbit is over 800.  Does anyone know what the issue is?  I did a live chat with FitBit and they had my unlink and link again, but the problem has not gone away.  Can anyone guide me?

Having the same problem and super annoyed by it, too. I also updated the Fitbit app as suggested on this site, but that did not fix the problem.

Hi

I have the Fitbit charge.  I am also having the same problem as you.  My fitness pal is correct but fitbit is way out by increasing my calories to over 5000 per day and yet on my fitness pal it is 1500.00.  Anyone have any Ideas on how to fix this.  I have unlinked with mfp and then relinked  to mfp but nothing!

Just got the following response from Fitbit.

We're sorry to hear that you're having an issue with the calorie sync between your MyFitness Pal and Fitbit.

We are aware of the issue and we're currently working on a fix.

We have a good idea what may be causing the problem and we are working diligently to get a fix in place as efficiently as possible.

We greatly appreciate your patience during this process.

Im having the same problem! My fitbit and my fitness pal are not syncing correctly. I've been logging into myfitbit.com and having to delete extra meals off my daily totals. Annoying.

I've moved this thread to the third party forum, and you might want to also look at the main thread on this subject

Since this thread is about MFP and has nothing to do with iOS I've moved it to the third party apps, you might want to read the main thread on this subject.

Calories sync with myfitnesspal has changed over the last 3 days - more than quadrupaled calories from myfitnesspal?

Best Answer

I'm having this issue also.  Every time I log into MFP to update, it's syncing as a new entry on fitbit instead updating what was already there.  I had to go in and manually delete the extra entries

I'm moving this post to the third party apps where the MFP sync problem is being discussed.

MFP is aware of this and working with Fitbit to resolve it.

Looks like mfp is syncing correctly to fitbit, now.
