Integrating recipies from myfitnesspal

I want to use the Fitbit app as my primary app, but I like the feature of myfitnesspal to be able to calculate nutritional info for my recipes, and the myfitnesspal database seems to be more comprehensive. If I connect these two accounts, will I be able to see and select food/recipies from myfitnesspal to log within the Fitbit app? Thanks!

I find that MyFitnessPal is far better than fitbit for tracking food intake.  It has a much better food database and, as you say, you can add your own recipes.  I use MFP for food tracking and link the app to fitbit.  That way, calories in vs out can be seen on the fitbit dashboard but the detailed macros on protein, carbs etc are still available in MFP (if you have the premium app).

Not quite what you were asking, I know but it works well.

Hey @KarenKeet, I've moved your non-tracker related question to the Third-party forum, this should help in getting an answer.

Thanks, per my question, I am really just trying to understand what data about food/recipes is available to me in the Fitbit app from the myfitnesspal app. I don't plan to get the premium myfitnesspal app, I just want an easy way to get access to recipes which I have put in myfitnesspal's nutritional analysis tool

I can only go by my own experience but all I can see on the fitbit dashboard is the calorie totals for each meal as set up in MFP.  So I can see calorie totals by meal and the total for the day, ported over from MFP but I can't, for example, see food names or protein, carbs, fat etc.  I can, of course, still see all that detail in MFP but only the basic calorie data seems to transfer across to fitbit.  Interestingly, water intake does NOT seem to transfer across from MFP either and has to be entered via fitbit.

Thanks @SunsetRunner. It sounds like if I want to see everything in Fitbit app, I need to log the details there. I was hoping if I links them together that the Fitbit app would have access to the entire myfitnesspal food db, including recipes I put into it.
