How do you record aquafit activity when I can't wear my Fitbit inside the pool?

Hello @JessEsc, I would like to start giving you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! This third party app does not figure among the apps that are officially supported. However there are many of the third party integrations working with Fitbit that are not officially supported, the only difference is we don't have the control over this data or how it will be interpreted by these services.

If Aquafit is able to connect with your Fitbit account, please contact the developer of this service to learn more about how it works with your Fitbit account.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have other questions.

Thx @RobertoME !
Aquafit is not an app. It's an activity like walking, running, dancing, etc. Aquafit are exercises in the water ... sort of like swimming.
Do you know if there is a way to track estimated steps? Or calories?
Thx!

Hi there @JessEsc, thank you for the clarification and I'm sorry for my  mistake. I was totally unaware of this exercise to be honest with you.

Having more context now, you can create a custom activity to have an average of the calories you have burned. But keep in mind if you are not using a Flex 2, is not possible to wear your tracker inside the pool, so all the information you enter here has to be manually, including the calories and it will not count your steps. Which I don't feel is convenient although is an alternative.

I was investigating a bit more any other solution like to use a third party app instead like MyFitnessPal or a calorie calculator like the one from SparkPeople to use a custom activity in your Fitbit account. However none of the options I reviewed has this activity as an option.

The most suitable option here is to use an exercise that can approximate the calories you are burning. Based on your description of the exercise the most similar is Water Aerobics in my opinion, but you are the expert here so you will determine if this is a good alternative to calculate the calories.

Having an average of the calories using the calculator from Sparkpeople you will have a better estimation of calories to log a Custom activity in your Fitbit account as I suggested at the begging. The way to do this is easy, just go to your Exercise log on your online Dashboard and enter the activity name, if is not recognized, it will prompt if you want to create a Custom Activity. Go there and the exercise will be created and ready for you to input all the data.

Hope this helps a bit and let me know if you have more questions.
