Hello @Hawaiigreg.

Thanks for bringing this up.

In this case I'd like to mention that MyFitnessSync is not developed or handled by Fitbit so we cannot guarantee that it will work correctly, nor can we guarantee if the app is secure.

Having said that, I'd like to ask you if the steps disappeared from your account or from your Fitbit itself? How many steps did you have?

I look forward to your reply.

Hello @Hawaiigreg.

Thanks for your reply.

Could you also confirm if you checked on your app or on your Fitbit's display?

In regards to getting the steps, you can manually add a walking activity to get the steps back into your account. Click here to see instructions on how to do it. Those steps will not be counted for challenges or friend leaderboards but it will count towards your personal log.

Let me know if there are any other questions on the matter.

Hi, I also had the same issues. The whole week I lost soo many steps, like 30k in one day! I have a very busy, lots of walking in my job and I start my job at 4am and go to the gym   I took pictures of my steps through out the day to prove I wasn't going crazy. I had 38k+ synced it three separate time at home and went from 38k to18k to 10k. I was really upset. I contacted Fitbit and they had me do the basic connect and disconnect stuff, didn't work.

I just wanted to know why it was happening, and how can I get those steps back.

The last two days it seems to be syncing the way it was before.

Just wondering if you would know why it would do that. Never had a problem it before.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Forums @dglc1.

Thanks for taking the time to share all of those details and letting us know that you have gotten in touch with our support team.

I'd like to ask you some questions to further understand your situation:

  • Did these steps change on the Fitbit itself or on MFP?
  • Has  this continued to happen or was it that once?
  • When did this happen?

I look forward to your reply.

Hi,
It happened when I synced my watch to the Fitbit app. This was one of the closet posts I saw about losing steps.
I did take pictures I will try to attach, hope it worked.
This was complete madness. Nothing like this has ever happen before, I do have MFP on there but haven’t used it two plus years. I have had others too, but never had any issues with them since they were installed.

Thanks for your help

Hello @dglc1.

Thanks for getting back to me with those details.

Unfortunately I am not able to see the pictures. Could you post them directly on your post? You can do so by clicking on the 'Photos' button on top of the text field when you are typing your reply on the Forums themselves, and not via email. Check the picture below for reference:

As for the steps, could you let me know exactly when did this happen?

I look forward to your reply.

Hello, sorry for such a delyed responce. Work has been very busy. It was the week of June 17th I had off from work that day but went to the gym. Tuesday the 18th is when i first noticed it, I thought i was seeing things and second quessed myself. The 19th after work I came straight home to do work around the house was already around 24k, when I was done I was almost at 30k, When i sync, it dropped me down...I was so tired, I never looked into it. The 20th I paid a bit more attention, when i got home I showed my husband my steps, it was 30k+ I synced it, gone dropped me down to 27k. The 21st I took pictures threw out my work day, befor my work out and after. I got home was very nervous to sync because i had over 36k stepps, synced..drop me down to 18k then befor bed down to 10k. I was so upset. 22nd I believe it started to work again, but not 100% sure. I know Sunday the 23 it was back to normal and working fine.

I have no idea why any of this happened, maybe i was over working my watch and it needed a week of vacation, who knows

I will attempt pictures again but not as many have been at work for 3h 44mhave been at work for 3h 44m
