MFP Calorie count confusion

I use a Peloton, Versa2 and Strava with MFP. To avoid confusion I don't link them all but in this sequence:

Peloton > Strava > MFP > Fitbit.

When I do a Peloton exercise I only update the data to Strava which, in turn, uploads to MFP which then provides a calorie 'credit' and allows me to eat more. The Peloton activity is then auto added to Fitbit from MFP and shows in the Fitbit app.

So far so good.

Except that MFP shows a calorie debit from Fitbit that I don't understand. I assume that Fitbit would also credit MFP on account of steps and general exercise but it appears it's doing the opposite.

Any idea why and is there a simpler way I can link Fitbit and MFP?

Thank you.

@Rider22 Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

I would like you to check this informational post about the data that's going to sync between Fitbit, Strava and MyFitnessPal.

In regards to your question about the calorie adjustment you're seeing on MyFitnessPal. MyFitnessPal pulls your calorie burn directly from Fitbit's total daily calorie. We then project forward to the end of the day based on your calorie burn so far. If this full-day number is different than MyFitnessPal’s estimate for your daily calorie burn, an adjustment will be made to your caloric intake goal. This adjustment can either be positive or negative. If the adjustment is positive, this indicates that your calorie burn for the day as reported by Fitbit is greater than MyFitnessPal’s estimate. If the adjustment is negative this indicates that the partner's reported calorie burn is lower than MyFitnessPal’s estimate.
