Minutes are being added to fitbit after posting on MFP

How come when I post an exercise and minutes on my MFP it adds to the minutes on my Fitbit?  They should link together. So like today I did 30 minutes then another 25 minutes later and it’s now saying on fitbit that I’ve done almost 98 minutes.  Something isn’t right

@Laurie5896 let's go to the MFP information post to see what syncs between the two accounts.

Activity, Food, weight will sync from MFP.

I'm not understanding your post.

I read it as posting on MFP adds minutes on Fitbit. I have no clue what is meant by minutes.

It then says the should link together, have you linked the two accounts.

Then I read the minutes synced over, this makes me think the accounts are linked..

I don't see what it is that is wrong?

See the photos attached. My fitbit is supposed to be linked to my MFP
account and it is, but when I post an exercise on MFP with minutes I’ve
done it adds minutes to my Fitbit. I done about 76 minutes today and my
Fitbit is telling me I did 98 minutes. It’s 22 mi it’s more than what I
did today

Sorry no screen shots.

Are these minutes of activity, or active minutes? These two things are different and not necessarily related.

They are activity minutes like walking in place. Fitbit acknowledges that I
am being active They are linked together so when I post my exercise and
the duration I did in MFP it should not add more minutes on my Fitbit.
Right now fitbit is saying I have done 16 more minutes today than I
actually did.

I'm not understanding what your saying.

You have the accounts linked.

What you post on MFP is suppose to transfer over to Fitbit.

You posted an activity with active minutes.

These active minutes transferred over to Fitbit. Just the way MFP has set it up.

You say that it should not, why should or not?

Without seeing data are screen shots of before and after 16 minutes tells me nothing.

Ok I already deleted MFP. Example. When I walk in place. My fitbit will say
I did 30 minutes. So I go into MFP sand add my activity “walking in place”
add how many minutes I did “30” and save it. WHAT HAPPENS is it adds 30
more mintues to the 30 mintues on fitbit that I already did and it should
not do that
