@Maursy It's awesome to hear that you received Flex as a birthday present, hope you enjoyed your birthday! Personally, I would leave "calories" in Fitbit and "kilojoules" in MFP because when Fitbit will make an adjustment MFP will automatically calculate it using kilojoules, I checked my account it seems to be working correctly having it like that (see the screenshot)

About your question on tranfering the calorie amount from MFP to Fitbit, I recommend to actually log your Fitbit calories to MFP. This will be done automatically, so you do not have to continue convertin the calories and save up some time.
