MyFitnessPal recommends tracking your food there and not syncing it back to Fitbit:
I don't know if it's possible and I couldn't find any directions on how to do it so I'd just go with the reccomendations in that article.

@AliceV I'vemoved your post to the third party app forum, for this is what the subject is about, and where the knowledgeable people on third party integration hang out.
I am not one of th4m, but have notice that people tend to use their Fitbit to track steps, and MFP to track food, this includes the controlling of what can be eaten.
Moving your post here should givebit a better chance of getting an answer.

I'm about 7 days into logging at MFP, and I see a meal summary in the Dashboard food log for every meal I enter at MFP. All I ever did was add Fitbit in the "App" menu at MFP.

Did you end up finding out an answer? I prefer the fitbit nutrition/ food diary and was hoping it would cross over to MYP. The only reason I use MFP is to work out % of carbs/ protein and fats....

A warm welcome to the Community @curiouskanga! You can link Fitbit with MyFitnessPal. Please make sure to follow this linking procedure posted by @SunsetRunner.
You can learn more about this integration by checking this third-party app post. Just make sure to log your food in just one app so it doesn't mess up the data.
Hope this helps.
