My fitbit blaze won't transfer information to my fitness pal anymore

My blaze won't transfer my steps to my fitness pal app or anything anymore. Plus I don't get text messages available anymore on it. It used to work fine.

I, like many others, cannot get my Fitbit Blaze to sync to the MyFitnessPal app.

I have updated the apps. Disconnected the apps. Revoked access. Manually forced sync. Nothing is working.

After revoking access and re-pairing it did sync for about a month but not it has stopped syncing and I've tried all the troubleshooting once again to no avail.

The Fitbit is tracking but the calorie/step tracking adjustment is still showing as zero in MyFitnessPal.

However, my food log is transferring from MyFitnessPal to the FitBit app.

Please help!

Hi @Silvergirl1977

Here is somethings you hav do and see if this works 1. You restart your blaze by holding the button on the left and the bottom right one's for 10-12 seconds 2. See if you need an update and then update either the Fitbit app of the my fitness pal app 3. Sync your Fitbit and then try it

hope this help

Hello @Silvergirl1977, a wecome to the comunity. Sorry to inform you that your Blaze has never transferred data to MFP, it is MFP that retrieves the data from your Fitbit account.

Please see @Mcore's post at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Third-Party-Integrations/Fitbit-and-MyFitnessPal-not-syncing/m-p/372...

If this doesnt help, then please reach out to MFP.

Yes, as I said above I've already tried to revoke access, etc. and that worked for about a month but it does not anymore.

I have contacted MFP but am burning it from both ends until I get a resolution.

Fitbit has an open API, think of this as a door for third party apps to get at your data. Fitbit leaves this door unlocked,  it is up to the third party to pull your data.

If  MFP is having problems, they may decide to reach out to Fitbit for hrlp in a resolution. I know MapmyFitness has.

My blaze doesn't take the calorie intake from mfp either or map my run info. All of this used to work fine. My blaze doesn't read my texts or even alert me anymore. I've updated, turned off and on, unconnected from mfp and map my run, etc. still doesn't work.  Not sure what else to do.

Hi everyone and let me start by giving you a warm welcome @Silvergirl1977 and @ChemicalVixen.

I'm glad to hear @ChemicalVixen the issue was resolved for you after contacting MFP.

I couldn't say better as @Rich_Laue did before, the information is recorded by the tracker and synced with your Fitbit account. When there is a third party integration, depending of the data and the third party some information will be transferred from the Fitbit account and not from the tracker.

In your case have you seen if your information is syncing with your Fitbit account @Silvergirl1977? If you are not receiving text or alerts anymore, I suppose there is an interruption from your tracker to your Fitbit app. If your information is not syncing then there wont be share data to external app.

Here are some post that might be of your help based on the issues you have mentioned:

Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this)

My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app)

iOS Update - ALTA Text and Call Alert Does Not Work

If the issue is limited only to the third party apps, the best solution is to re-link both of the accounts. If the issue persists, I recommend to contact the support of either MyFitnessPal or MapMyRun for more details, since are them who developed the integration.

See you around!
