My fitness pal & fitbit. Calories in discrepancy.

I use My fitness pal to track my meals, my target is 1200 calories a day. I mainly use the barcode function to track what I eat.

I connected fitbit and my fitness pal together and fitbit keeps telling me I'm a full 450 calories over target! As an example day I had 1,229 calories logged in my fitness pal which turned into 1,535 calories in fitbit. This isn't even 450 calories over the 1200 target so I have no idea where it's getting these numbers from.

Welcome to the Forums @Pixie_K.

Thanks for bringing this up. Let's check what could be happening.

My first suggestion in this case would be to check if there weren't any entries that were doubled. That could explain why you are getting these extra calories.

Please let me know if they are indeed duplicate or if you have any further questions.

I double checked and it seems to be adding an additional lunch in! (But not a duplicate, it has a different calorie count which doesn't match anything I've entered into my fitness pal) I'm not sure what was happening but it's stopped for the last couple days so I'm hoping it's sorted itself out.
