**Fitbit and MyFitnessPal Integration Update.** [Fixed - 1.17]

Please scroll to the bottom of this post for more information.

Hi Folks,

I just wanted to provide an update on the Fitbit and MyFitnessPal integration. Recently we have seen an uptick in the number of reports of Fitbit => MyFitnessPal sync delays. We have investigated this over the past several days and now believe the cause of the delay has been identified.

With the problem of finding the issue out of the way, we now need to go in and fix it. This may take a few more days.

During this time period you may see your Fitbit => MyFitnessPal sync delayed. Unlinking and relinking can be very taxing on the servers, if you are experiencing a delay we ask that rather then unlinking and relinking you give the servers some time to process your request.

Think of this as a queue, typically we process the queue in less than a second. Due to the holiday season and New Years both programs have seen rapid user growth. Currently the queues are very long and the servers aren’t processing the data as quickly.

We are adding improvements behind the scenes to prevent this in the future.

Our apologies for any inconvenience this causes and thank you in advance for your patience.

We hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year, please feel free to email us (http://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/emails/new) if you have any additional questions.

Cheers,
Scott

Mine is syncing fine bar the food diary. Breakfast and lunch have synced to fitbit. Dinner hasn't.

I've forced quit and restarted both apps.
Revoked access and re-linked both app.
Rebooted iphone.

I am having the same issue. Myfitnesspal is syncing and showing  my calories burned but the fitbit app will not sync my calories eaten. It was fine til my iphone updates the app today.

Seems like I'm having the same issue - Fitbit synced some of my earlier foods from MFP, but has not added calories since noon or so. I'm going to try rebooting and re-syncing the apps, though it looks like this hasn't worked for some...

Same here.

MFP is seeing the exercise calorie adjustment from Fitbit, but Fitbit is not seeing the meal calorie info from MFP.  This began today.

Fitbit activity doesn't seem to be syncing to MFP now either

Checked on MFP that it was linked to Fitbit and since yesterday it had become unlinked for some reason.

Linked and all is working fine again in both directions

I have had his happen twice yesterday and now twice today. Unlinked and then re-linked both times and it works for a few hours before happening again

It seems MFP thinks the problem is fixed anyway.

It's not fixed. Last time MFP synced for me was this morning at 532 am. Never had any issues til this last week.

Ditto. It's clearly a fitbit problem, based on ALL the threads here about syncing with different devices. But MAN is it frustrating.

Mine is now working. Try logging out and then back in to your FitBit app.

My fitbit syncs just fine. Shows all the food calories I input in MFP. However, my activity calories from fitbit are not syncing in MFP

I logged out of both apps and back in. Fitbit is still correct and MFP is still not computing any new calories since this morning.

I'm new to this so I may not be correct, but my understanding is that the FitBit activity calorie adjustment on MyFitnessPal is only added when your activity level exceeds what you have preprogrammed into MyFitnessPal. For instance, if you had chosen "Sedentary" level in MyFitnessPal and the projected calorie burn for the day was 1300 calories but you were particularly active that day according to FitBit and burned 1450 calories, then your calorie adjustment would show on MyFitnessPal as -150. Anyone else have input on this? Am I understanding it correctly?
