UPDATE 06/11/2019

Hello everyone!

Thank you all for sharing your details and experiences with MFP.

I'd like to share some wording on the latest update posted by MFP. You can click here to see their full statement.

"It's possible you have an expired access token.  This means that the authentication between MyFitnessPal and Fitbit has expired, and you need to re-authenticate using your Fitbit credentials for sync to resume.  This is not directly related to this incident, but is a top reason why some members do not see data sync.  However, it should be easy to fix if you follow the exact steps outlined below.  Once re-authenticated, sync will resume from the date of relink forward; Past data will not sync.

  1. First, log into your Fitbit account at Fitbit.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Settings.
  3. Once in your settings, select the Applications tab, and locate MyFitnessPal.
  4. Once you find MyFitnessPal click Revoke access.
  5. Once revoked, return to MyFitnessPal, and relink Fitbit."

I hope you find this useful. Let us know if there are any other questions on the matter.

UPDATE 06/06/19:

Hello everyone.

As it has been mentioned and shared already, the issue appears to have been resolved by MFP already and now they are waiting for the backlog of sync requests to be completed.

You can read about it by clicking here

Thank you all for your patience.

Hello everyone!

We'd like to let you all know that we are aware of a syncing issue between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal (MFP) that has been going on since June 3rd. MFP is aware of this and they are investigating the issue. You can see what they have to say about the whole situation by clicking here.

Below you can see an extract of what MFP has said:

"Our team continues to investigate to isolate the root cause of the issue. At this time some users will see no data syncing, while some may see some data syncing sporadically.  We are working on resolving this for all members."

For the time being we do not recommend disconnecting and reconnecting the apps. We recommend waiting for MFP to identify a solution.

We'll keep you all updated on this as it develops.

I'm having the exact same problem. Already unlinked and relinked the apps from pc and mobile, and nothing seems to work. It's a nightmare!

Thanks Tony R. Much appreciated. Didn't realise how much I relied on it until now! 🙂

The MFP server is currently down so it's just a case of waiting patiently until it's back online and up and running again. It's worth keeping an eye on the the MFP Website  for further updates from their tech team.

I made the mistake of logging out of my Android app a while ago  and can't now log back in again. I thought I'd just try and sign in to my account on the Web which I was able to do, but just to confirm nothing has synced for me today in either direction.

I'm sure we all have read the June 3rd update and understand that this is a known issue that is being looked into.

Mine is not syncing fitness pal, water intake, active hrs.. I've done all the usual: cleared cache, uninstalled app, restarted Bluetooth,  phone reboot,  logged out etc. Only thing I'm unable to do is force close, the app won't let me. Any suggestions?

Let's go to the third party board, where the main thread is on this subject and read the OP.

about this being a know issue that is being looked into.

I'm going to merge this thread into the main thread so that you will get updates.

This is getting ridiculous.  I haven’t been able to sync anything for three days.

Also, I can't get continuous sync, or pushed sync between Fit Bit and Weight Watchers. WILL update, if I remove FB from WW, and re-link, one time only.

Yes we are aware that WW also has an unrelated problem. MFP says that the problem is on their end.

Do you have an ETA of when the issue will be resolved?  There should be a notice from your app that says this in an email versus us fumbling around and thinking that it is just something wrong with our device.  In addition, I had a food entry replicated 60 TIMES  (said I ate 60 pieces of toast) when I just had 1 in the app that I entered.  If this is not a reliable app I may have to try another one.

I notice that the posts here have slowed/stopped. Also, food logged in MFP is showing in my fitbit log this morning and I have yet to see the entry duplication in MFP. Could it be fixed?

Ok now it is Thursday and the 3rd day of not syncing. I also have no access to the mfp community so I can’t see what had been posted there. Can somebody please let me know what is happening? I do not see any updates for this issue.

Hello everyone.

Please know that MFP is aware of the situation and they are investigating on it. As soon as they have found a solution, or have corrected the issue, we will be updating this thread to reflect that.

Thanks for your understanding and patience on the situation.

Thanks for the updates. I am mostly posting this to continue to see updates. I have the same bug where it’s not counting my steps and it’s multiplying my food by crazy numbers.
