MyFitnessPal calories

Hi. I’m loving my Alta HR. My question is about MyFitnessPal calories. Each day, it tells me how many calories I have left. The discrepancy between what MFP says I have left and what the FitBit app says is a lot. Which should I follow? Why is it so different? Today it is MFP: 789; FB: 1162.

Try setting your fitbit food log page (on the web site) from personalized to sedentary.  Fitbit uses your past history to estimate how active you will be if it is on personalized.  MFP uses sedentary (if properly setup for use with a fitbit) then adds calories burned at that point in time, not what it thinks you are likely to burn the rest of the day.

Hi there @Arty3, great to see you in the Communitiy Forums! 🙂

I also agree with @Fozzy71 about Fitbit using your past history to estimate your activity. Now, are both Fitbit and MFP set to the same plan? If not, that could be where the discrepancy could be coming from.
